Kosher Kitchens in Los Angeles

In the case of many of our Bradco clients, kosher living and food preparation is the optimum lifestyle choice. Bradco has taken this opportunity to make it known that we have designed many kosher kitchens and we want to share our expert design knowledge with all of you to help facilitate staying kosher in your homes.

When preparing food that is kosher, cleanliness and halting cross contamination of meat and dairy fare key. To implement these values into kitchen design, we focus on counter space, appliances, and storage space elements.  Implementing labels for separating stored food items such as dairy and meat are a great way to avoid confusion and help keep your kosher kitchen in tip top shape. Two sinks are recommended for a kosher kitchen however, if budget is an issue there is also a budget friendly alternative.

Double sinks are acceptable as opposed to two separate units but obviously not ideal. Stainless-steel sinks and steel or granite countertops are the recommended options for those who cannot have distinct discrete areas for meat and dairy.

Function and style do not have to suffer when you opt for stainless steel appliances for your kosher kitchen and they are ideal due to the ease of clean up. Two of each appliance such as ovens, sinks, or dishwashers are the epitome of kashered options. Although that is not always an option when you’re looking for a budget friendly selection. All of these alliances and more are available for sale at Bradco.

In regards to countertops, be sure that the material you have is pure granite or stone. If it isn’t, you may need to replace your existing material. While there are different rabbinic options concerning countertop materials that have the ability to be kashered from milk to meat, vice versa, or for passover, Bradco can supply you with your desired countertop material whether it be granite, composite stone, etc. It is evident that form and function need to also be factored into kosher kitchen remodeling.

A truly kosher kitchen will have two separate sets of cutlery, cookware, serve ware an extra set of dishes. The meat and dairy need to be kept separate through food preparation all the way to serving because these dishes and serve ware will be used on a daily basis for all meat and dairy containing meals. Naturally, extra cabinets and organizational storage spaces are necessary for these items. Bradco can help to maximize storage space by replacing standard shelves and drawers with modular wire shelves and baskets. These shelves and baskets can be configured in a variety of ways so that the existing interior cabinet space is used to it’s full potential.

Of course, if there are any questions that arise during the design of kosher kitchens you should seek rabbinic guidance and after that feel free to contact us.

Yelp Review by George G.

Not long after my family moved into their new place, we grew tired of our kitchen and needed a full out kitchen remodeling overhaul. Afterall, we spend most of our time in the kitchen. We have always loved the minimalist ambiance of simplicity and functionality and figured modern kitchen remodeling in LA is the way to go.

After a lot of researching where we could get our modern kitchen cabinets in Los Angeles (along with modern counter-tops, sinks, faucets, tiles, hardware, the WORKS), a friend recommended Bradco Kitchen and Bath design in Los Angeles (thanks, Bobby!).

We’re very happy with the way our kitchen came out. It’s sleek, stylish, and the envy of our friends :) At Bradco, they’re very detail oriented, professional, timely, accomodating and quite friendly – all really important in a kitchen and bath design company in LA!

What we also really appreciate is that the guys at Bradco are true GREEN kitchen remodeling pros – with their own manufacturing plant, specializing in custom environmentally-friendly kitchen cabinets – they have full control over what is produced at their factory, and how it’s made. That was a big selling point for us – we like our planet.

We’re thinking a modern bathroom remodeling project could be next. Not necessarily because we want to spend more time in there – but I know where to find our bathroom design and remodeling professionals: BRADCO Kitchen & Bath in LA.

Thanks guys! See you soon.

It’s been eight months since we gutted and remodeled a full kitchen, master bath, and powder room, plus assorted other changes to our home, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. We even still love the contractor – and how many people can say that after a major remodel?

Our successful experience started with a design consultation at Bradco to discuss ideas for a new kitchen. We had done a major remod on a previous home a few years ago and were still stinging with annoyance and disappointment at the workmanship and the impossibility of getting the job finished. Needless to say, we were gun-shy!

The Bradco designer worked within our stated budget and never tried to “sell up.” When choices were made to upgrade, the decision was always initiated by my husband or me. One thing that surprised and delighted us is that we spent significantly less money for this kitchen than we did with the other contractor, but the quality of materials and installation we got this time are far superior.

We decided to have B&R, the contracting end of the Bradco “family” do our entire remodel, and there was never a moment’s hesitation about the integrity or skill of each man who worked in our home. Although we weren’t living there yet, the B&R men still attempted to keep the place as tidy as the circumstances would allow.

Much to our surprise, Eli, Many, Julio, and all of the others involved in the construction management and on the job labor showed up when they said they would – again, quite remarkable in this field.

We love using our kitchen and baths, and we still haven’t gotten over admiring the results. Of course, like with any other venture such as this, there’s been the occasional need to tweak or fix something. We’ve marveled at the speed of the response from both Bradco and B&R and the good cheer with which they approach any of our subsequent requests. And this is many months since the last invoice was paid in full.

In re-reading what I’ve written I fear I must sound like a shill for the company. That couldn’t be further from the truth. Rather, we just feel so grateful after our earlier remodel experience to have found an organization which does high quality work at reasonable prices, and with the follow through we all want when investing so much time, money, and effort into our homes.

Pros: Responsive, skillful, talented staff

Cons: None

Yelp Review By Joh B.

We recently completed our Kitchen remodel with Bradco kitchens and we want to tell everyone that it was a pleasure to deal with them. From the owner Michael to all his staff we where never disappointed. We where told upfront that a kitchen remodel is always a little stressful. Well, go to Bradco and they will prove you wrong. The price was right, their cabinetry is of high quality, and everything was on time and budget. Thank you Bradco for the great kitchen you provided for us. Also special thanks to Charlie from B&R Construction who managed the actual construction work and Ana our Designer for her diligent handholding.
We love you guys.

Green Custom Cabinetry

Our kitchen was a mess and we had a baby on the way, my wife was on my case to get us a new kitchen before the baby was born. I kept dragging my feet and did not want to spend the money. In this economy I thought there is no way I can afford that kind of remodel. We finally went to the usual suspects, Home Depot Lowes and some other cabinet stores The prices for the cabinets were within my price range but we did not feel that we were in good hands in any of these places. We felt pressured at all times and we also felt that there where still so many unknown. These guys are just not that professional. Then we found out about the possible toxins that are in new cabinetry and with the baby on the way we needed to find someone that could provide us with non toxic cabinetry. Everyone we spoke to told us that GREEN CABINETRY would certainly not be within our budget. After extensive research on the net we fell upon the Pure Bond website and they revered us to Bradco Kitchens and Bath on Pico Blvd. We made an appointment and the rest is a Love story. Ryan was our designer and together with the owner they tailored a kitchen for us that fit our needs and most importantly our budget. Just be careful because all the accessories that you think you want can get you fast above the budget. When we told Michael, the owner, that we where above what we could afford he sat down with us and Ryan and tailored us the kitchen that we could pay for. We got high end custom cabinetry with NO TOXIC materials. They even loan you a FORMALDEHYDE METER to check you cabinets. So you can be sure that what they say is true. Bradco does not install but they revered us to their in-house installer, B & R Construction. They did what they promised on budget and on time. We can highly recommend them. Thank you Mr. Michael, Ryan and Eli from B&R Construction. You were great.

Pros: Non toxic cabinetry even i could afford

Cons: Best kept secret in LA

Design! Construction! & Passion

You hear all those horror stories about redoing this, redoing that. I have to say that I was blown away with the staff at Bradco Kithcen and Bath. I was considering a redo in quite a large downstairs bathroom. I am a female doctor living alone and know the difference between arteries and veins, however knowing what wood to use for the cabinet, product for contertops, I have no idea! I am thrilled to have found this terriffic place to be able to let my gaurd down and not feel pressured for a sale, or degraded for asking questions and getting that ” oh you don’t need to concern yourself with that”. The entire staff made me feel like I was part of their family and only what was good enough for them would be good enough for me! I cannot tell you how inpressed I was with their “green ” knowledge and awareness of what kind of chemicals are used in making of cabinets. I have no idea formaldehyde was used in cabinet making. Well not for Bradco! Not only am I completely satisfied with the job Bradco did for me I have recommened them to a number of others and will continue to do so. Thanks Bradco!

A very happy customer,

SDW
